The Creative Blogger Award comes to me from Joey at Joeyfully Stated: Narratives of a Neurotic & Other Nonsense. Thank you very much, Joey! I’m absolutely delighted — you’ve made my week!
If you’re not already following Joey, I hope you’ll stop by to visit her blog. She’s a talented writer and although she holds a BA in English and has been a teacher, she’ll never correct your grammar. She writes on a wide range of topics including her family (hers is not a mommy blog :)), her pets, Chubby Squirrel (one of my favorites), church, the military, community, gardening, insomnia, mental health, and so much more. Thank you once again, Joey!
The rules for this award are:
° Nominate 15-20 blogs and notify all nominees via their social media/blogs
° Thank and post the link of the blog that nominated you
° Share 5 facts about yourself to your readers
° Pass these rules on to them
Thank you all!
As we all know, every blogger is creative so selecting a certain number is no easy task. I’d like to thank every blogger in my community — you’ve encouraged and inspired me and I appreciate you all. Finally, in these nominations I’m exempting blogs that are awards-free.
500 REASONS WHY THE 80’s DIDN’T SUCK Ian presents arguments and examples in an attempt to persuade us that 80’s music didn’t suck. All kidding aside, Ian is a creative force with excellent musical taste. Who else could present Steve Wilson and The Cramps with equal eloquence, insight and passion?
GRAFFITI LUX & MURALS Resa is a self-described amateur photographer who has a passion for taking pictures of outdoor ephemeral art. She showcases and documents Graffiti Art, Murals and Street Art in North American cities.
YOU AIN’T SPECIAL YTW shares his writing and ranting. He’s a talented writer and is happiest when he’s ranting, so lately he’s been pumping up the volume. He’s well-informed, intelligent, articulate and consistent so you’ll understand why his readers encourage him. He doesn’t like receiving awards but I’m nominating him anyway. Hey Mike (is it okay to use your name?), get used to your popularity :).
DEBAUCHERY SOUP Shares her life with her readers. Her blog covers serious interviews and social commentary to humorous everyday “happenings”. My favorite are her Musings from the Laundromat.
NOCTURNAL ADMISSIONS The Prodigal Orphan writes about his life, times and history. He used to believe that he had at least almost all the right answers. Now, he realizes that he may not have asked the right questions to begin with. He’s come to realize that his life is full of blessings, although some of them are somewhat mixed :).
LANDRED VHAEL at The Edge of Silence shares poetry and other writing and is a self-described master brooder. Landred has also authored several books and it’s only a matter of time until they’re published.
YES EVEN THIS TOO WILL PASS Juan writes to live and lives to write. He shares experiences, life lessons, spirituality and everyday anecdotes. My current favorites are about Toonce who has finally been reunited with Juan. In addition to his blog, he’s writing 3 screenplays.
TRANSMISSIONS TO EARTH Benjamin is an insomniac and prolific writer who shares his poetry, articles, essays, fiction and meditations. His topics include psychology, parapsychology, culture, politics, religion, dream analysis, and many more.
PAUL MILITARU: PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO Paul shares his beautiful photography portfolio. His vision in photography is to set his camera as perfectly as he can and to use software only very rarely, except to put his name on his photographs.
THE BACK ROOM Andrew created The Back Room as the place not open to the public; he invites us to roam The Back Room. He writes about his experiences, culture, music, art, relationships, TV shows and much more. In addition to writing, Andrew is a social worker.
FICTIONAL MACHINES J.E. shares his art and writing. His images are powerful and evocative. I’m so taken with them that I have yet to read his writing.
TORITTO writes poetry as well as stories on the topics of family, politics and history. One of my favorites is his poem Until It’s Taken. I still believe that it should be turned into a song with a strong bassline.
MR. FLYING PIG Steve writes poetry and prose, sharing his thoughts, memories and dreams. My current favorites are among his poetry.
SKINNY AND SINGLE Laura is “single, over 40 and not suicidal about it” :). She’s also not standing roadside in a tube top. As you may have surmised she’s witty and has fun sharing her experiences and insights, including: Holy Crap Is This What I Look Like?
BLACK AND WHITE Dom shares his wonderful poetry. He’s also working on a novel.
THE AUDACITY OF ACHILLES Aquileana writes prose and poetry about Greek Mythology, art, philosophy, psychology, along with other topics.
THE GIRL IN THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS Natalie blogs about fashion and other stuff. Mostly fashion :).
RICHARD ANKERS Richard shares his poetry and stories. He’s received every award and I’m not sure whether he still accepts them, but I’m nominating him anyway. He’s quit his day job to pursue writing and I’m pretty sure that was the right decision :).
HELENVALENTINA Helen mainly showcases her poetry, as well as her other writing. She loves to explore why we do the things we do and how our characters are formed by our beliefs and actions. Her other writing includes her published novels.
Five facts about me:
1. I’m not concerned about mismatched socks. There was a time when I’d only wear matching sets and they’re still my preference. But now…is this an early stage of a downward slide? See Joey’s blog (above) for the original dialogue about odd socks.
2. I’ll drive a Lamborghini through the desert one fine day (a dream is a fact about me, yes?).
3. I love movie theatre popcorn with extra butter. I know it’s a ticking time-bomb of deliciousness but, what can I say. I’m also one of those people who stays to watch all the end credits. (Maybe that counts as #4.)
5. My current coffee travel mug is from UFC.
