The Encouraging Thunder Award comes to me from Michelle Styles at aghostdancer. Michelle blogs about being deaf and her experience with implants, as well as religion and mental health issues. Her writing is compelling and I always enjoy reading. Stop by and pay her a visit. You may stay a while!
Rules for this award:
- Post it on your blog.
- Grant other bloggers the award.
What you cannot do:
- Abuse or misuse the logo.
- Claim that it is your own handmade logo.
What you should do after receiving the Encouraging Thunder Award:
- Enjoy the award!
- At least give thanks via comments, likes and/or mentioning the blog that you received the award from.
- Mention your purpose in blogging.
My purpose in blogging is to share some of what I’ve learned about living a beautiful life. This includes sharing stories, anecdotes and music. Lately, it’s involved more creative writing. I’m humbled, a little surprised and happy that some readers enjoy what they find here.
A big thank you to every blogger I’m following, each one who follows me, and everyone who has liked and commented on my posts. You’ve all made my blogging experience very rewarding. In these nominations I’m exempting blogs that are awards-free (you know who you are!) and whose who have just received this very award (you also know who you are! :)).
My nominees are:
Geezer94 at Old Guy Photography
Nikki at yepijustsaidthat05
Juan at Yes Even This Too Will Pass
Americana Injustica at Americana Injustica
Rusty at My Blog News and Blues Reviews
Paris at Paris Poems

It’s understood that some nominees may prefer an awards-free blog. If this is the case, please decline with my thanks for your contribution to my blogging experience.
I am one of those award free bloggers, but I genuinely appreciate your nomination and I congratulate you on your award!

Thanks, Josh! Your nomination is very well-deserved and I will keep your award-free status in mind for the future. As long as you know that you’re appreciated :).

I thank you very much and from the bottom of my heart for the nomination; but, I am one of those award-free blogs that make this feel like a wet blanket – so I do apologize but your nomination is duly noted with me. ❤
Hugs and love.Xx

Hi friend
I’m having problems with the image. I can’t tell if it’s been taken down or a WP problem. I’m starting the post on you award. Please let me know. it’s not going out tonight.

Dear Melinda,
I picked your site for many reasons. You blog about important issues including mental illness and child abuse. These topics are complex and painful, of course, and experiences often leave people feeling isolated which compounds problems. Your blog helps others connect and feel less alone. You are undoubtedly helping many others and raising awareness more generally. I also enjoy your writing, from a pure writing perspective.
I hope this helps 🙂

Thanks Danica, I too appreciate the nomination. Sorry I took so long to get back to you. Afraid I’ve been out of things for a while. Not having internet really sucks. Hope to get back into the swing of things soon. Will get back to you soon. Take care.

Great to see you, Rusty! Yes, not having internet is weird isn’t it? Are you near-ish to a public library? They usually have public computers with internet access. Hope that your week is going well otherwise and wishing you a very speedy swing back into things :).

Thanks D, I am within 20 miles of a public library, but my budget won’t allow me to go to town very often. Yes, the internet just isn’t the same without me! I miss all of you, am hoping to get it together. Thanks for all you have given to us out here.
