Are y’all enjoying a lovely day? Savoring a moment of tranquility? Running through your too-long list of errands and obligations? Holding on at the end of your rope? Zoning out at your cubicle? Yes, yes or yes?
A jolt of epicness to the rescue! Here’s KISS and The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra with what may be the best all-time performance of I Was Made for Lovin’ You.
Lyrics and credits below, enjoy! (Who loves ya, baby?)
Tonight I wanna give it all to you
In the darkness
There’s so much I wanna do
Tonight I wanna lay it at your feet
‘Cause girl, I was made for you
And girl, you were made for meI was made for lovin’ you baby
You were made for lovin’ me
And I can’t get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of meTonight I wanna see it in your eyes
Feel the magic
There’s something that drives me wild
Tonight we’re gonna make it all come true
‘Cause girl, you were made for me
And girl I was made for youI was made for lovin’ you baby
You were made for lovin’ me
And I can’t get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of meI was made for lovin’ you baby
You were made for lovin’ me
And I can give it all to you baby
Can you give it all to meI was made for lovin’ you baby
You were made for lovin’ me
And I can give it all to you baby

Definitely an Epic performance and this was a great way to get us over any “hum drum” moments we may be having. Thanks, Danica. Happy 4th of July ☆*☆*

Well, that was a wonderful blast of fun and a pleasant surprise from one of my favorite bloggers. Thanks, Danica. Kiss was my first full-time musical obsessions in the mid-70 and even though I’m not the fan I used to be, I still enjoy listening to & watching them, especially performances like this. I can’t be the only one, however, who was driven to seizures by the brutal editing of the video. I don’t think there’s a single shot that lasts for more than 1 second. The music, of course, is great. I needed it during a very stressful week. Cheers!

Rich! How delightful to see you! I hope that your blog break is going well and that the week’s stress is not overwhelming. Sorry about the seizures. I hadn’t noticed that editing issue, but do now. I hope the blast of fun was worthwhile. I can see how Kiss would be an incredible first full-time musical obsession. Did you ever dress up accordingly?

There are 2 photos of me as a 10- or 11-year-old dressed up as Peter Criss, including one behind my drumkit. Every true Kiss fan dressed up like them at least once. I also used to pretend I was spitting blood like Gene Simmons…until one day I swallowed a mouthful of ketchup. Bleh!
The break from the blog has been enjoyable. I will be moving later this summer & likely won’t start up again until I’m settled in my new home. I will continue visiting your blog as it’s always a bright spot in my day.

Those photos would make for an excellent blog post (hint! ) and the blood/ketchup spitting must have been something! I’m glad that you’re enjoying your blog break and you should know that you are missed. The rest of us are talking amongst ourselves but it isn’t the same. Good luck with your move! I hope that your new home will be wonderful. Thank you so much for continuing to visit my blog :). I know that I still have plenty of catch-up reading and listening to do at yours!
