The Rules or Guidelines for the Mystery Blogger Award:
- Display the award logo on your blog.
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- Mention the creator of the award and provide a link.
- Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
- Answer 5 questions from the nominee.
- Nominate 10 – 20 bloggers.
- Notify your nominees by leaving a comment on their blog.
- Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice, including 1 weird or funny question.
- Share the link to your best post.
3 Things about Myself:
- I can’t believe I like decaf. Double shot decaf espresso, but decaf nonetheless.
- I love the salty ocean air at sunrise.
- I spent yesterday sleeping and watching outdated mediocre sitcoms as I drifted in and out of consciousness and it was fan-freaken-tastic, baby!
Questions Asked of Me:
1. Would you jump in front of a bus for a complete stranger?
Probably.
2. If a neighbor was a hoarder and lived in unsafe and unhealthy conditions, would you ignore it or take action? If you did, what would it be?
I’d respect their liberty and choices until it endangered their safety. I’d try talking with the neighbor and if that wasn’t effective I’d call the appropriate health workers.
3. If you could go back in time and change one day in your life, which day would it be and why?
Yes. Several come to mind so I’ll need time to decide on one.
4. What is your favorite word?
Yes.
5. The weird question: If you knew you could get away with it, would you rob a bank?
Yes. Well, no, probably not. 🙂
6. Share the link to your best post.
I’m not sure this is my best post but A Story of First Love is the most popular on my blog. You can find it here: https://danicapiche.wordpress.com/2016/02/21/a-story-of-first-love/

My Questions:
- If you could speak any language you don’t currently speak, what would it be?
- If you could (or had to) live anywhere other than where you currently live, where would it be?
- If you were famous — and could choose why you were famous — what would you be famous for?
- If you had to die for a cause, belief or ideal what would it be?
- The weird question: If you could be on the first spacecraft to Mars (and make it back to Earth in your natural lifetime) would you?

Thanks for the tip of the hat Danica – and there’s nothing wrong with a mediocre sitcom marathon in my books!

My pleasure, Geoff! You are most deserving!
I’m glad you think so… I had mixed feelings but I’m thinking days like that may need to be scheduled in the future.

I’m so glad you’re continuing with your contributions to the blogosphere. Double digits! Wow 🙂
I love blogging as well as other blogs — there are so many stars and gems in the blogosphere. Popularity might be a function of time, too…. 🙂
Thanks again, Brad!

Congratulations on this well-deserved award and thanks for including me here, Danica. Sorry I never have the time to participate in these awards but I do appreciate them. I will certainly find time to check out some of the blogs you recommended. I see a few familiar names but also a lot of new ones.
I will answer your questions:
1. If you could speak any language you don’t currently speak, what would it be?
French, because I studied it in school and have used it on trips to Switzerland & France, but I can’t carry on a conversation and I never understand when people speak French to me.
2. If you could (or had to) live anywhere other than where you currently live, where would it be?
Scotland. I’ve been there three times and I’m convinced that I was Scottish in a previous life.
3. If you were famous — and could choose why you were famous — what would you be famous for?
Making people smile.
4. If you had to die for a cause, belief or ideal what would it be?
This is a tough one. I feel strongly about a lot of things but I’m not sure I would give my life to those causes. That would be reserved for my wife & my family.
5. The weird question: If you could be on the first spacecraft to Mars (and make it back to Earth in your natural lifetime) would you?
Conceptually I will say yes, depending on how long it takes and how much access I would have to music (and chocolate) during the trip. In reality, though, I’m a terrible flyer, especially during takeoffs, so something tells me a spaceship would not be the ideal vessel for me.

Thanks very much, Rich! I completely understand about time restrictions so that’s never an issue here.
French is a beautiful language but regional accents can throw you off. You might have some Scottish heritage…many North Americans can trace a connection to a clan.
I love your answer to #3! I would have guessed drumming 🙂
The older I get the harder it is to answer #4. Very interesting about the trip to Mars. I wonder how many people would sign up and then change their minds before takeoff. Especially with the chocolate restrictions 😉

I’ll give you some answers too.
1. Tamashek, the Touareg tongue of Mali/Libya: so much of my favourite music is sung in it, I’d love to be able to understand it first hand, rather than rely on translations.
2. I’ve always fancied being a lighthouse keeper, so somewhere a bit more rocky and coastal.
3. For being ‘that lottery winner who gave it all away to good causes*’
4. Tolerance.
5. No, there’s too much for me to explore down here still.
*that’s not a legally-binding promise to do so.

For years I have been trying to solve the mystery of how you can be so awesome.
Perhaps, not unlike the caramilk bar secret and how Keith Richards is still alive, some mysteries are best left unsolved.

You made my whole day! Week, actually. Maybe month! Thank you for the amazing compliment and especially for the comparison to Keith Richards. Thanks again, my friend. 🙂
