Let’s Write a Story!

Some of you have noticed a longer story developing in recent related posts.  Thank you so much for joining me on this journey!

If you’re just coming to the blog or most recent post, you probably end up reading the story backwards–which might be better!  (Timeline to be determined later….)  For ease of reading I’ve created this Page:  Let’s Write a Story! to include links to all the related posts.  I’ve kept the original post order and original post titles.

My goal in writing these posts was to create stand-alone short stories that also form part of a bigger story.  I hope that a reader can read one post at random and like it or not, based on its own merits.  My other goal is to weave these smaller stories together to create a cohesive larger story.

I’m posting as I’m writing, so please keep that in mind.  This is my first attempt at something like this so the result may be choppy and out of tune.  (Yes, that’s right, what better place for my first attempt than a public platform? ;))  But, it’s written for you and written with love.  I hope you will enjoy it!  I welcome your feedback, as always.

P.S.  I’ve created a working title for the larger story:  Sunrise at The Palace Diner.  I’ll continue with individual post titles for readers not following the larger story.  I’ll also include Sunrise at The Palace Diner for readers following the larger story.

Here are links to the original posts, in original chronological order:

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 1:  You are Already Dead

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 2:  You are Already Dead – Part II

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 3:  Frank’s RedHot

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 4:  Frank’s RedHot – Part II

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 5:  Frank’s RedHot – Part III

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 6:  Frank’s RedHot – Part IV

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 7:  You are Already Dead – Part III

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 8:  Cassandra

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 9:  Cassandra – Part II

Sunrise at The Palace Diner, Scene 10:  Kenneth

    1. Thanks so much, Brad! Your support and encouragement mean the world to me.
Breaks must be necessary and part of the process… there is no running aground 😉
That’s an excellent observation about going back and editing…I’ll have to do that!
I like everything of yours that I’ve had the pleasure to read, Brad. I’m looking forward to wherever your imagination takes you next…. 🙂

              1. I am currently writing a story about people let down by the justice system who form a vigilante group. To be honest, I think I was just as surprised as anyone when I finally finished writing Rock And Roll Children. I thought I would never finish it.

        1. It’s the contrast between the lyrics and the music — the lyrics are sweeping, the tale is insurmountable, yet the music is measured, controlled and circles back around almost like an ocean would. I’m not sure whether this was intentional but I like it.
