“You’re going to want to double those risers.” The instructor walks over to me before class starts and motions to my step platform set up.
“You think so?” Looks fine to me.
“Oh yeah.” He steps up and down on my platform to demonstrate.
“You’re taller than me.”
“You’ll be bored.”
Hmm… maybe?
“While you’re at it double the plates on your barbell.”
“Even though I’m just getting back into an exercise regimen?” Risk of unconsciousness and all that.
“Oh yeah.”
Okay, then.
Rock you like a hurricane! Scorpions blast out at us. My kinda boot camp, I smile.
“Run laps around the room!”
It’s early morning
Running? Nobody said there would be any running —
The sun comes out
“Sprint at the far wall!”
Last night was shaking
“Faster!”
And pretty loud
“Scissor run!”
My cat is purring
No, dude, you’re not passing me
Scratches my skin
“Drop!”
So what is wrong with another sin?
Dizziness… should pass in a moment, yes?
Here I am
“Ten push ups!”
Rock you like a hurricane
“Jumping jack run! Faster!”
Here I am
“Ten more push ups!”
Rock you like a hurricane
“Faster!”
My body is burning
“Now hold! Hold!”
It starts to shout
Shaking —
Desire is coming
“Jump up! Higher! Bend!”
It breaks out loud
“Hands on the floor! Lower!”
The night is calling
“Jump up! Higher!”
I have to go
“Again! Faster!”
The wolf is hungry
Ohmigod —
He runs the show
“Drop to the floor!”
Lust is in cages
“Plank position!”
Till storm breaks loose
“Hands together! Diamond!”
Just have to make it with someone I choose
“Body one inch from the floor!”
The night is calling, I have to go
“Hold!”
The wolf is hungry
“One hand!”
He runs the show
“Other hand!”
He’s licking his lips
Ahhrrrgggg…
He’s ready to win
“Ten more seconds!”
On the hunt tonight
“What do you want out of your ten seconds??”
For love at first sting
Ohhh… mi… godddddd
Here I am
“Back up! Down! Faster! Now slower! Hold!”
Rock you like a hurricane
“Now that we’re warmed up — ”
Are you ready, baby?
.
An hour later, panting, my skin flushed, every pore sweating (glowing, yes?), I pick myself up…water, water….
“How do you feel?” He already knows my answer.
Rock me like a boot camp hurricane, baby.

Awesome stuff! Nice mix of words to say the least! haha
Anything that shows up on my reader with Mathias Jabs wearing his 80’s Pink rock jacket is something I’m gonna take a look at!

Maybe if I listen to that song more, I might exercise more. I like how you use the lyrics of this great song here.

It’s a great song to exercise to! The whole class was harder rock and metal — and it was inspiring!
Thanks very much! I’m so happy that you like it. 🙂

This was so cool, Danica! I listened on my way up to Cleveland to several great rockers! I like Heart, Adele and Pat Benatar who are such gutsy women! I like Bruce Springsteen, fun with Journey and the Stones rock well, but hurray for the Scorpions!! 🎶🎵

I’m delighted that you like this one, Robin! A most excellent musical selection, too! I saw Pat Benatar not too long ago and she sounds as great as ever. I hadn’t heard the Scorpions in ages so it was a wonderful surprise in this exercise class. 🙂

It is always special to hear someone enjoying similar songs and groups, Danica. I’m excited you saw Pat Benatar in person, thanks for letting me know she was as great as ever!
ps. I used to think they were singing “raunchy as a hurricane!” haha! 😀

The Scorpions look so german. Funny clothes and funny haircut. I hear the same Story from my daughter, when getting back from exercises at school..

Yes, I see what you mean. This is such a good song that I always enjoy listening to it.
Effective exercise is challenging and also rewarding. I’m glad they’re doing something similar in the schools.
